LegalTrac has articles on domestic partners for Tiffany Nguyen. She might also try the search term "gay couples".


Senate.gov and House.gov have testimonies from experts on parental consent for teenage abortion. Some are for it and some are against it. Claudia Flores should type "parental consent abortion" in the search box.


Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management will have articles on global warming for Kamyar Keighobody. The topic brings up over 8,000 articles so Kamyar will want to focus the search. Perhaps global warming (and) fossil fuels, global warming (and) wildlife, global warming (and) agriculture, etc. Kamyar should first select those articles that have a full text link. Bill Goldstein will also find articles in this database on mountaintop removal (coal mining). He should type "coal mining" on line 1 of the search box and "mountaintop" on line 2. Country Studies/Area Handbooks has an excellent history of the break up of the Soviet Union for Sergei Zabarouskovs. He should use the "Choose a Country" menu to select Soviet Union (Former).

will have many full-text articles on guest workers for Carlos Sanchez. He should type "guest workers" in quotations.


Country Studies/Area Handbooks has 500 articles on opium and politics. Nabeel should use the "Find" line at the top of the page to type "Opium and politics". Later on, he may want to use the "choose a country" function to learn more about opium producing countries such as Afghanistan.

They may want to limit their search to a particular battle, campaign, or event. PsycINFO will have tons of articles on Sigmund Freud for Jessie Thompson. She should type "Freud, Sigmund" on line one of the search box and "psychosexual" on line 2.



Southern Poverty Law Center will have feature articles on discrimination faced by our poor and disenfranchised citizens. Andrea Conrado can click on any of the tabs and find information. Sociological Abstracts and Public Administration/Affairs will also have many articles on poverty. Andrea will need to focus and limit her topic. She may want to limit her search to United States, perhaps. Possibly she may want to focus on a particular aspect of poverty such as "food security". She should remember to put only one key term per line in the search box. For example, "United States" on line one and "hunger" on line 2.

Genome.gov is a reputable website that has a wealth of articles and the latest research news. Best of all, it is user-friendly for the layperson. There is a simple search box at the top of the home page. Science Accelerator will have many full-text articles to be found by typing "science and ethics". These articles are not limited to the biosciences.
Engineering Village has 215 articles on robotics and ethics. Students should type robotics on line one of the search box and ethics on line 2.



Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) has material on Leo Frank for Matt Cantwell. He should type " "Leo Frank" and trial" (put quotation marks around name and spell out the word 'and'). America: History and Life has articles too. Matt should mark the full-text box and type the search as "Frank, Leo" Ethnic News has an article as well.

Engineering Village has many articles on the science behind the Stradivarius violin. Miseon Kim should type "Stradivarius" on line one of the search box and "violin" on line 2. Denver Public Schools will have 2009 CSAP results as well as School Accountability Reports. for Beth Sobol. Colorado Department of Education will have school finance, drop-out rates, and other statistics. Education.gov has many national indicators and reports. She may actually find that the Denver Public Schools are not as "broken" as the media would like her to believe. The Denver Post will have lots of information about local schools. ERIC will have many articles on urban schools.

Both House.gov and Senate.gov will have lots of full-text transcripts from experts as well ascurrent information on what is being done/proposed to help veterans.
