Film and Television Literature Index will have articles on children and television for Alek Hess. For example, he could use the terms "children and television and violence" (one term per line, please!) He might also try children and advertising and television, etc.

Education Full Text(WilsonWeb) has articles for Heather Goodwin on parenting styles and self-esteem. Heather should type "parenting" on line one of the search and "self esteem" on line 2. She should select the tabs for "full text" and "peer reviewed".



Defense Technical Information Center has lots of articles for Tom Scobell on trauma debriefing based on government-funded research concerning soldiers and civilian disaster victims. Tom should type "trauma and debriefing" on the search line. (Spell out the word "and")


Alt HealthWatch has articles for Breton McKenzie on lucid dreaming. She should remember to mark the full text box. She should type "lucid dreaming" on line 1 of the search box and "therapy" on line 2.



Web of Science has many articles for Dawn Darnell. She should type "grey matter regeneration" on line 1 of the search box. (topic line).


NCJRS.gov has many resources on sexual predators for Ashley McKee. For example, the search "sexual predators and treatment" produces 30 reputable websites, 64 article abstracts, and 156 links to other useful sources.


GenderWatch (Proquest) has lots of good articles on pornography. The database service will suggest subtopics, such as "personal relationships and pornography", from which our student can choose.

Social Services Abstracts has articles for Kseniya Bakhtiu on acculturation and depression. She may want to use the third line of the search box to specify a particular group of immigrants.

Lance
will find 1,000 full text articles on meditation in Project Muse . He should type "meditation and psychology" in the search box. (Lance should spell out the word "and")

CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health) will have a few hundred articles for Tristin Perkins who is interested in nursing. She could use the search term "psychiatric nursing" for example. Don't forget to mark the full text box, Tristin!

Anthrosource will have 126 full text articles for Katherine Rice on anthropological psychology. Since this database is all about anthropology, she only needs to type the word "psychology" in the search box.

SportDiscus has 22 articles for Aaron Taylor who is interested in recreation. If he types "recreation" on line one of the search box and "brain" on line 2, some interesting results pop up.

Elena will find articles on her topic in EBSCO Access to the ERIC database. The phrase "second language acquisition" brings up 678 full-text articles. (Don't forget to mark the box for full text!) If Elena adds a word like "psychology" or "brain" to line 2 of the search box, this will help focus her results.

Jia Jia will find 120 articles on insomnia and anxiety in BIOSIS . She will need to spell out the word "and" on the basic search line when she types her topic. Many, though not all, of these articles are available in full text. Try the "find full text" button if the full-text link does not appear. ..and remember, we have interlibrary loan service.

Maria will find 106 full text articles in Psychology Full-Text Collection . She should enter meningitis on line one of the search box and intellectual on line two. This will give her articles that touch on psychological and mental issues. Maria could do a second search using the term "behavioral". This would also bring up articles appropriate for a psychology class.
